4 Easy Steps For Double Dutch Braids

October 23, 2017

Feeling a little bored with your long locks? Try braids for a quick style change that livens up your look!

Step 1

After cleansing and priming hair with Colour Fanatic, apply a small amount of Pure Volume Style + Care Infusion to damp hair and blow-dry with a paddle brush.

Step 2

Divide hair in half down the back, but leave out a small section at the nape of your neck. Starting on one side, create a Dutch braid. Secure the ends with an elastic. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3

After both braids are secured, mist on Strengthening Control Hairspray. Now use your fingers to gently loosen and fluff out the edges of the braid.

Step 4

Take a piece of hair from the small section you left out, and  wrap it around one braid. Pin into place. Repeat on the opposite side.

Day 2

Look: Cross the braids over each other and pin to create a milkmaid braid.

Tip! A Dutch braid is similar to a French braid, but sections are crossed UNDER each other rather than over.
